Raqui's Thrid
shoot with Mika Rottenburg
My third shoot with Mika was
a long but interesting one. This shoot was quite
extensive gathering the many individuals who she has
worked with before and a few more. From my
understanding this picture deals with Motion, Strength,
Size and Gravity. While I am not an expert I can
see many things from this collective image.
It seems as though every participant shows some of the
above characteristics.
Movement in the water that is being spit into the tree.
The water that is being poured by me (raqui) from the
giant champagne glass through the hose down to the cup
in which a female contortionist is drinking. Also in the
man who is breaking wood with his hands. I
especially like the smoke which puffed up when he
strikes the wood. I found the one thing that you
would think to have motion (the ceiling fan all the way
up to the back) is not moving.
Strength can been seen by the man (Pete AKA The Floor)
who the woman (Rock Rose) is standing on. The
Amazing Female Body Builder from Mika previous work
Tropical Breeze, and again the man who is breaking the
wood with his hands. I found also during the shoot that
it takes a lot of strength for the female contortionist
to hold that pose for long periods of time. Big
thumbs up for her, though she didn't seem to like me
much from the face she kept giving me.
Size is quite obvious to me, my dear friends who
accompanied me on this shoot Maribel all the way in the
background by a lone ceiling fan and Cheryl who is
holding the beautiful orange tree (which is not yet
ripe) are wonderful examples of beauty and size.
Miss Rock Rose whose large breast defy gravity and hold
up a chair (NO IT IS NOT A SHOPPED PHOTO) her breasts
did hold up the chair. Me (Raqui) the largest person on
set seems to actually be small inside a HUGE champagne
glass tub which contained water. (it is much harder to
sit in water for hours that you would think). The
Female body building is quite a contrast to the plumper
women, and the contortionist is obviously quite slim.
Or strong wood breaker is normal sized, and Pete AKA the
floor is also normal for a man. My Fiancé Russell
is the one in the duck costume. Sorry ducks are
just not that big so it is a funny but cute size
difference.
Gravity as I said before the one part that stand out the
most to me is Rock Rose and the chair. I can also
say the fact that she is standing on Pete seems to deal
a bit with gravity and her weight pushing down on him.
Gravity also moves the water down from me through the
tube, to the waiting contortionist who obviously defies
gravity with her amazing moves.
Over all we all enjoyed this shoot, it was hard work and
my poor Fiancé was sweating like crazy in the Duck Suit.
I cant wait to get more information about its showings.
